Rise and fall of fat man

Sun was shining brightly up in the sky and everything was looking normal. But I was sitting at my desk in the office and trying to debug a very crucial problem. I was struggling with the problem for 1 hour and was completely drained and exhausted. My food cravings have taken the freedom to start acting and pressurizing me again.
Just after 15 mins, I was at a food court, and figuring out should I order a pizza or a subway burger?
Let me decide which food I should order but before that let me take you through my childhood story.
Since my childhood, I was underweight but do not compare it from today. So everyone used to encourage me to have food and offered me whatever I ever wished for. Slowly and steady my eating habit grew so bad that I was not even remembering what I was eating. I always thought of eating something.
When I was preparing for Engineering Entrance examination. I always thought that whatever weight I have gained in these days, I will lose in my first year of college.

But I had to admit, those days were wonderful. And why would not they be? My mother always used to keep 2 types of ice cream 1 Butterscotch and 1 Strawberry flavour in our fridge. If anyone box gets finished new boxes replaces the old ones.

Now, it was time to join college and instead of having 6 packs, I was having a family pack.  I started out looking different ways to reduce fat. After reading various blogs I discovered it takes dieting, running and proper exercising just to make sure weight doesn’t increase too much. Losing weight is another big deal.

On a friends advice, I visited a gym, just to make sure this bloody weight is under control. A trainer approached towards me, sir, we have a lot of packages like Marriage package, Girlfriend package and uncle package.  He told me that if I am interested he could explain each one of them. He explained marriage package is for those who want to look good with less stomach protruding outside. But for a short time. The effect will be gone once your marriage is done.

Girlfriend package is to make sure you become fit according to her requirement and there arises no misunderstanding. So trainer will be training you only those exercises which she thinks are good for you. He wanted to explain the third the uncle package but I told him that I am still in my 20’s and that would not be not necessary.
Trainer-Sir, if you don’t like any of these we will craft a package of you.
Me- Man, I wanted to go for girlfriend package but don’t have one.
Trainer- Sir no need to worry, we have a ladies trainer who can be your friend, and she will train you according to her chosen set of exercises.

Next day, I met the lady trainer. She welcomed me for choosing the path which could also transform me to a film star. But she seemed like a physco as she asked me to do exercise under constant pain and misery. Within one week I was having so much pain, I was not able to get up from my bed.
I got frustrated and decided to do exercises on my own only. I googled some fat reducing exercise and training programs. I got an online trainer and he created a plan which suited me well. It was good and I started liking to set my own pace in doing exercises.

I started following the strict diet plan. I said no to all fast foods and unhealthy stuff. I kept myself in control for a month. During this last 1 month, I was able to reduce 3Kgs. But slowly and steady my work took a troll to me and I again started to go food court etc. It was not that I was avoiding GYM or regular exercises. But due to work pressure, I started feeling low in energy most of the times. All my past 1-month hard work went in 7-8 days.

Later on, I went to my hometown. I asked my mother is she able to recognize any change in me?
Mom- Son, previously you look like a banana and now like a pumpkin which got some swelling in middle. I got irritated and left from there and decided not to ask her again. I have always heard that maintaining is good physique is hard but it was that hard I have realized that.

These days most people think that going gym is synonyms to be healthy. I have seen a lot of people including myself who were used to heavy workout but still didn’t improved their health. For example, my diet included biryanis and outside food, lunch included with fried kababs or some other oily things. Snacks were full of unhealthy stuff like samosas and bondas.

If someone is saying he is doing gym and having such diet and asking to remain fit and healthy? Then I am afraid to say that friend you will not be able to keep your body healthy. If you want to make your healthy body, first have a healthy food which is free from oils and fats.
After such self-realization, I decided to create a diet chart with the help of a gym trainer. He suggested me to have protein rich diet which will help to control my food craving. He also suggested keeping some green vegetable with me to have in snacks time and keep my carbohydrates level low.
After a month I started seeing effects of my dieting and exercising. I was able to reduce 2 kg and was in the mood to go even further to keep myself healthy.

Having food junk or fast food once in a while is acceptable but over long-term thing should be avoided. Plus a half an hour of regular exercise is recommended. It could be at the gym or by playing any sports.
